Volley is working closely with Tishman Speyer to develop the marketing materials for what is currently the largest development in the New York City Outer Boroughs. These two mega-projects hug a transformed Jackson Avenue at the Queens Plaza MTA Station; the glassy residential towers will house over 1,900 units and the terra-cotta commercial towers contain 1.1 million square feet of office and retail. Keep an eye out for much more to be released from these two exciting projects in the near future.

After over a decade in the works, on August 5, 2015, Brown Hill Development broke ground on Gluck+'s 205 Race project, a 17-story residential tower on Philadelphia's historic waterfront, adjacent to the Ben Franklin Bridge. This was front-page news in Philadelphia, as the project promises to be a critical architectural link that will re-connect the historic Old City with the Delaware River waterfront. Volley was proud to work with this team in crafting images for the PR launch campaign.

One Madison is one of the most recognizable retail towers in Lower Manhattan. Related approached Volley to help produce images for marketing a $30 million duplex penthouse at the top of the tower. The space was to be sold raw and unfinished, so the CGI images would be the only unit-specific visual assets to drive the sale. Volley was responsible for all art direction, site photography for the stunning exterior views, and synthesizing an existing interior design with custom furniture selections from Kara Mann.

Moynihan Train Hall is a conversion of McKeam, Mead & White’s iconic Beaux-Arts James A. Farly Post Office into a modern transportation hub for 21st-century New York City. SOM chose to work with Volley to develop press-release images for Governor Andrew Cuomo’s official announcement of the project in late 2016.

At 600 feet tall, The Hub is currently the tallest residential tower in Brooklyn. This all-rental residential development is an important part of Steiner’s expansion into residential development. Volley worked closely with the creative team to develop the primary visualization assets for the marketing campaign, including view finding, site photography, and art direction for all CGI images as well as coordinating with architects, landscape architects, and interior designer.

318 West 47 is a new build low-rise in Manhattan’s midtown west. This boutique residence has 5 units including a ground floor unit with a backyard and personal garage, gracious balconies for all, and a duplex top-floor unit with generous roof deck. Volley worked closely with the design team to capture every design detail and secured fantastic sunset rooftop photography to give this upper deck a unique image-presence.

150 Rivington is a new multi-residential residence in Manhattan’s ultra-hip Lower East Side. The building was designed by Gluck+ to be of a size that is consistent with the neighborhood, but also with a modern facade of wavy GRFC panels that distinguishes it from its surroundings. Volley - during the course of composing the usual mix of imagery - proposed that the view from the roof warranted exciting time-lapse footage which ultimately became an animated CGI façade film that anchored the teaser website.

1399 Park Avenue is a highly designed modern tower rising in Manhattan’s up-and-coming north Park Avenue neighborhood. Volley worked closely with ownership and the marketing team, including Corcoran Sunshine and The Seventh Art, to develop CGI marketing imagery. Volley led the art direction on multiple components of the project, including securing a photography location at a neighboring building to obtain photography of Central Park for what has since become the primary marketing image for the project.

AECOM collaborated with Volley Studio to design a 1600-foot reimagining of Manhattan's iconic MetLife Tower (formerly the PanAm Building). The ambitious design called for doubling the current tower's height and including a massive light-filled atrium amenity; more importantly, all this would require 1/6th the current energy consumption through the implementation of leading-edge curtain wall technology.
For this project we worked closely with AECOM to find views that best told the story of this innovative proposal. We proposed acquiring site photography from the top of the Empire State Building as well as from multiple locations along Park Ave, both of which helped to drive the design.
AECOM was a winner in this competition entitled "Reimagine a New York City Icon", sponsored by Metals in Construction magazine and the Ornamental Metal Institute of New York. Finalists also included SHoP, FXFOWLE, and VOA Architecture; all finalists split the grand prize.

Pine Tree South is an elegant new house on Miami Beach's esteemed Pine Tree Avenue - one of Miami's most prestigious addresses. The owner sought out Volley because he understood Volley's ability to create a compelling visual story for his project; Volley coordinated all existing design materials, proposed a portfolio of images to tell an architectural story, and executed the complete set of images that included creating the interior design, shooting site photography onsite, and producing the CG visualization in-house. As a result, the client was able to bring the property to market as an open listing without having to engage outside broker's or other marketers.

The MNP Tower is the last office tower located in Vancouver's prime downtown core with unimpeded prime waterfront views, and slated for completion in 2015. Volley worked with the developer and architect to develop images to pass Vancouver's notoriously strict planning department, and the images were subsequently used for the property's marketing campaign. Volley closely collaborated with our partner photographer in Vancouver to achieve the desired vision for these images.

When internationally-renowned architects Deborah Berke Architects were to announce their new commission to develop a 4-acre site for a new headquarters for Cummins Engines, they contacted Volley to develop the visualizations. We were charged with capturing this unique office tower that evokes an engine as the company’s namesake, while concurrently appearing as a welcome addition to the community.
